Art Nouveau house built from 1902 on behalf of Juan Soler Ceniza (Amer, 1857 - Barcelona, ​​1939), a merchant dedicated to the trade and import of silks and other fabrics. Mr. Soler, transoceanic businessman of the time, resided in Manila (capital of the Philippines, Spanish colony until 1898) and traveled all over the world to develop his business. Soler and family spent the summer in Calella and took home service with them, who were Filipinos, and from there the peculiar name of "The Filipinos" emerges with which the building is still known today.

The house shows some of the most significant characteristics of the modernist movement: curved shapes, complex volumetries, great decorative richness (especially vegetal and floral) applied to any element of the building, such as sgraffito, forge, stained glass or glazed ceramics.
The main façade is located in Calle de Jovara 166 and at the opposite end of the courtyard there is a small summer pavilion that overlooks the Anselm Clavé street (number 86).

In the facade of the pavilion it is possible to emphasize the door made of great cut ashlars, with windows to both sides; the set of the three openings together is unique, and it looks like a large window divided by two columns. We also highlight the floral pattern of the plaster of the facade, green and white. In the center of each flower you can see some roses made of maroon enamel. The curved lines replace the traditional straight forms of the upper part of the facades.
